Losing Track

by Peter Williams   Feb 6, 2007

This was where I had lost track of the time,
Where Heaven and Earth were at a stand still.
This was where I was trapped inside the rhyme.

Free of conscious doubt and unconscious crime,
Free of hopeless dreams that go unfulfilled,
This was where I had lost track of the time.

There was no meat, but one single thyme.
My thirst went unquenched but as of until...
This was where I was trapped inside the rhyme.

Bells that swung in the wind started to chime,
The beating of my heart became a thrill,
This was where I had lost track of the time.

Silence filled the skies, poets were now mimes,
As we noticed the milk started to spill,
This was where I was trapped inside the rhyme.

Nothing seemed to matter but I know I'm...
Still stuck inside this state with some time to kill.
This was where I had lost track of time,
This was where I was trapped inside the rhyme.
