Sanity

by Peter Williams   Feb 6, 2007

Once before the twilight narrow,
On the day the bluebird sung,
There we were and 'til tomorrow,
When the day had just begun.
Into the yesteryears long since passed,
Now we forgot whom to thank,
For the love we received was vast,
But still we chose to walk the plank.
How could we see the long ago?
Once after the sunlight rose,
For I waved a silent hello,
As the story came to a close.
Since the end and back again,
Were what made me insane.
