Strangers to friends
Quickly a relationship was built
Filled with admiration
Lasting forever, no chance to wilt

We keep in touch through email
Sending funny little treats
There's even some that say
Here's a hug for you my sweet

Good morning greetings
Meant to brighten up each day
Your messages filled with love
Dry all of my tears away

Although we're different ages
Many things about us are the same
Brown hair and blue eyes
Built with a slender frame

Mythical creatures are captivating
Together we let our imaginations run wild
Taking a break from responsibility
Both letting loose to enjoy our inner child

Two happy carefree hearts
Enjoying the lives we created
Becoming best friends with you
Has me truly elated

Across this great land
No need to search wide and far
No longer an acquaintance
A best friend is now who you are
