Darkness

by Ryan C   Feb 8, 2007

Down in the darkest pits of hell,
He pushes aside all of his cares,
Killing all of his victims,
And any challenger that dares.

Torturing those who lie before them,
No mercy to be given,
Except to one girl,
The girl fallen from heaven.

A single soul,
Lost her way,
No way out,
Nothing to say.

The chosen one to fight the evils,
More than one to rise up now,
But she's the best there is,
And not even she knows how.

The dark face of a man who does not exist,
Torturing her dreams,
The nightmare in her awakening,
The angel of death to her screams.

He pierces the silence,
Sends the strongest into paranoia,
But she can't fight him still,
Though she just wants utopia.

Tortured forever,
By the thought of his arising,
Taking her over once again,
Never quite surprising.

A single soul,
Lost her way,
No way out,
Nothing to say.

The chosen one to fight the evils,
More than one to rise up now,
But she's the best there is,
And not even she knows how.

She lies on the bloody floor,
She knows that she is beat,
Ridden by the sound effects,
Of a man she can't defeat.

And just before the judgment day,
She overheard the winds singing,
Though she didn't know what to say,
She just couldn't stop the piercing ringing.

They whispered,
"Don't be afraid,
When you know it'll all be fine,
You are sane."

He leaned in close for the kill,
Assured that he had won,
But the knife she made appear in her hand,
Startled him to an imaginary stun.

A dozen souls,
She found her way,
One way out,
No more to say.

The chosen one to fight the devil,
More than one to rise up now,
But she's the best there is,
And now she knows how.
