You

Why are you here, tell me do you know?
Are you a harvester or a planter?
Do you cut things down, or do you let them grow?

Are you someone special, or just for show?
Does the world benefit from your light?
Do you darken it with your shadow?

Do the people around you breathe easier
When you are around? Or do they wait
And in your absence, rejoice?

When someone's hand reaches out for help
Even when weak, do you offer yours?
Do you pass judgment on others?
Or do you give them a choice?

Are you whole enough to be sure
About the things that you believe in?
Or do you go about your life doubting
Is this right? Is this a wicked sin?

Are you broken enough to be cured
Of the arrogance of youth?
That each scar you wear is like a badge
For some hard-earned truth?

Are you crazy enough to ask yourself
Some of these life's questions?
When you know you might not like
What you see in your reflection?
