Stars

Closely I often looked from afar.
I close my eyes and watched the stars.
In the darkness of my mind,
I could see the stars behind.
To look upon them and wish to see my heart
Yet these infinitesimal stars stayed and dare not part
Those quiet stars linger in the quiet dead
As I close my eyes and look at the stars within my head
Dreams cast upon brilliance of lights
To look and see what a beautiful sight
I wish, I wish upon the stars
That my dreams would never linger afar
I wish, I wish with all my might
That my mind would never be cloaked with the blackness of night
