Leo

Eyes meet across the couch,
And they linger for a time,
I wish he would move forward,
I wish that he'd be mine.

Eyes meet from across the stage,
And they avert quickly away,
I wish he'd recite his lines to me,
And I wish his eyes would stay.

Eyes meet across the room,
And they are stolen mid-glance,
I wish he'd stay with me,
And I wish he'd ask me to dance.

Eyes meet from across the microphone,
And his are glistening as a sunset on a sea,
I wish I could stand beside him,
And I wish that he would sing to me.

Eyes meet from across a car window,
And he can no longer stay,
I wish that he was driving the car,
And I wish he would take me away.
