Perfect

by Natalie Reget   Feb 10, 2007

Sure, I'm not perfect,
But at least I try.
My mistakes, I don't regret.
I can get by.
Sure, I'm not perfect,
But at least I keep living.
I know it's not a defect,
My world is still thriving.
Sure, I'm not perfect,
But at least I admit it.
I know you're not perfect,
But you can't accept it.
If I'm not perfect...
What makes you think you are?
You're so afraid of being a reject.
You think you're better than me by far.
What, in you head, is wrong?
That you think everyone loves you?
Listen to my song...
You do no better than we do.
You're not an angel,
You're not even a saint!
You think you're above us? Well...
Newsflash: YOU AIN'T!
You may be rich,
You may have good style,
But you're still a wretch,
Join the rest of us for a while.
Come off you high horse,
Before it bucks you off.
You'll hold on, of course.
But you've go nothing to prove.
You're no better than me,
Stumbling along the ground.
You've lost all your dignity,
What goes around, comes around.
You think you can kick me down?
Well, I won't take it!
You think you can push me around?
Well, you can't do that!
I'm sick of you,
You're not that great.
Stop the thins you do,
Get out of your cocky state!
