Hopscotch

by ephemera   Feb 13, 2007

Throw a stone and watch it fall
Bouncing until it finds its place,
Then wonder how you will avoid
That clearly defined space.
You see, hopscotch is a game of life
Clearly set out with its tricks,
With time comes mastery and knowledge
Artistry, wisdom and tips.
But who knows the path best for you?
For this game is played on one or two feet,
And you are not always on stable ground
Sometimes you must accept defeat.
