America will stand resolved

by Lemon Squeezy   Feb 14, 2007

In 2001 a day we Remember,
The eleventh day of that September
A nation shocked and in dismay,
Caught offgaurd by this array.

They thought that We'd be torn apart,
Yet they fueled our beating heart,
The falling of that first great tower,
Did not make our nation cower.

United we have sworn to stand,
Until we beat that terrorist band,
That attacked us on that day,
In such a devastating way.

They struck us once, they struck us twice,
Now we go to strike them thrice.
They bit a beast that bites right back,
Now all their courage seems to lack.

Sure we've shed a mighty tear,
For the ones we loved so dear,
That we lost up in those towers,
But that's what fuels our fire power.

America "The Big Brother Nation",
That has always been our reputation.
Never fighting back dissolved,
America will always stand resolved.

This is really well written it definitely deserves a 5! and thanks so much for the comment I did put my heart into it.. I tried to make it seem like something a firefighter would be thinking.. how much courage they had.. they're true heroes..

I love it. one part boldness, one part truth, and one part stepping on the bad man's toes. you're all like cross the rubicon and stuff. i liken your poems to a twelve foot tall viking warrior with a dainty pen in one hand and a club in the other. but i digress
