Rose Red & Ocean Salt

by Disturbed and Under Age   Feb 16, 2007

Down the hall, behind the curtain
lies a blackened heart of rancid love
lost in a world of pleasure and pain
waits a bright and burning flame
A mask of beauty hides insanity
devious eyes staring down the world
Zombies in the prison halls
quietly follow the path they have set
ball & chain, one size fits all
illusioned smiles masking truth
hardened fists destroying walls
uncontrollable rage entrapped
Dormant pain arises twilight
Distorted shadows condemn her to fear
ly awake beneath the moon
tormented soul wrapped in frozen skin
sharpened monster sheds her tears
of rose red and ocean salt
Desperate creature entranced by lies
shattered by betrayal unforeseen
translucent flesh unveils despair
reality revealed in a broken promise
the slaughter of serenity
silent lamentations incapacitate her voice
incarcerated love for another
flowing through decrepit veins
discarded in his quest for harlotry
intricate web of destitution
suspicion devours all hope
awake in the stars, asleep in the sun
an incandescent spirit silently wanders our earth
unforgiving stolen redemption
