Lifeless Fight

by Jonathan Blair   Feb 19, 2007

Punching,
Kicking,
Cursing,
Bleeding,
Eyes blackened,
Lips swollen,
And yet, None of this has stopped me,
I'm still punching,
Still kicking,
Still cursing,
Still bleeding,
I refuse to stop,
Unsure of whats keeping me from stopping,
Unsure of what I want so bad,
Unsure of whats around the corner,
Afraid of whats there,
But yet I'm still charging around it,
Hoping around the corner you will be standing,
Standing with your arms open wide,
Running towards me with a smile and tears in your eyes,
Kissing me for the first time in a long time,
Holding me close,
Comforting me,
Comforting me with just the smile on your face,
Comforting me with the words coming out of your mouth,
Your stopping me from punching more,
Kicking more,
Cursing more,
Bleeding more,
You stopped me from doing this,
Right up until you left,
You left me once again,
Brushed me away,
Pushed me to the side,
Your hurting me,
You don't realize how much,
You wouldn't care,
The pain your inflicting upon me,
I could try to run from this,
But the Love I have for you is way to strong,
It wont let me go,
It wont let me find someone else that may care,
All of this is stopping me,
Stopping me from moving on,
Stopping me from thinking about the worse,
Stopping me from thinking about the better,
This situation can not be avoided,
Can't be forgotten,
Can't be forgiven,
Shouldn't be forgotten,
Shouldn't be forgiven,
If only we knew what was right,
If only we could try to do the right thing,
If only we agreed,
If only we both cared the same,
This wouldn't be happening,
I'm now wasting your time,
Getting you to read this,
It's all so pointless,
But I need to,
I need to know if I can change your mind,
One last time,
One last time before I move on and try to forgive and forget.
