For Who I Am When I'm With You

by Sarah Ann   Feb 21, 2007

My past has dimmed my present life
It should be sparkling; glowing bright
Yet you won't let go of what's said
I've done those things. I hurt. I bled

I've fallen now and sometime then
You say I've been with many men
But you're just seeing what you choose
Ignoring the fact I was used

With you I feel a sudden change
Spectacularly out of range
I love you not for what you do
But who I am when I'm with you
So why baby must you believe
The things you hear but do not see

I love you not for what you do
But who I am when I'm with you

[This is just something I wrote quickly about my controlling boyfriend...who is very...controlling and grudgingly yells about my past. But I love him anyway, and I didn't know how to put it in words. ]= ]
