Racism (acrostic)

by Afraid of the Dark   Feb 22, 2007

Racists spread hate and gloom,
Ain't needed in our society,
Can't punish people for,
Issues of their variety,
Sadness is caused by them,
Madness for them to condemn

If it was my choice,
Sing, dance, rejoice!

Hallelujah through our differences,
Alas! the others will always fight,
To the very end
Even though, they are not right.

We need to join, be strong
Enough to prove those others are wrong.

Never more the need for hate
Enough is enough,
Evermore joined doing
Deeds through the smooth, and the rough,

Love your neighbour, thats what he said,
Over our challenges,
Vicotry will proceed to those who greet it,
Enemies no longer through the ages.

I love acrostic poems. In this perticular poem I think you definitley got your message acrossed. The flow was lost in a few parts, I know that's hard to keep in acrostics. I loved the idea of the poem though. Good read! 5/5
