Prayer For Strength

When you were weak
You asked for my strength
I tried to send it
And I tried my best
But it just wouldn’t do
You lay on the bed as helpless as can be
Weaker each moment
As we all could plainly see
And your time has come and gone
But you always seemed to have a little bit of faith
That we could all hang onto
Even when these times where dim
And here you were lying still
At your very end
I said a prayer for you to be safe
And I guess the Lord answered it
and took the pain away
Your time had come but still your gone
I wish I could have given you my strength
I wish your wish came true
