The Last Goodbye

The next time you say goodbye.
The next time you swear to leave.

Promise me you wont come back.
You're not going to come back to me.

It hurt the first time.
Wasn't that what you were aiming for?

You definitely succeeded.
When you walked out of that door.

Now you say you wont go.
You tell me you're here to stay.

Then show me your not lying.
Because I still hurt from that day.

They say time heals all wounds.
Would you wait for me?

I have waited for so long.
Can you show me it's meant to be?

Next time you walk out.
The next time you want to leave me behind.

No matter how much it hurts me too.
That will be the last,

Goodbye.

    Nicely written, if you make it more compact, if you put some lines together it will be better because it will have a more flow. otherwise, great.
