In the depths

by Black night   Mar 1, 2007

Deep in the depths of that putrid cave
I can feel him as he slowly emerges out.
The smog is released as his whispers are breathed,
and all i can inhale is poison.
Slowly from the dark he skulks,
knowing when i am defenseless.
He can feel when in at my weakest,
his eyes always watching me.
I can feel them as they burn
as those pinpricks of fire melt holes in my head.
Why is he here?
Why has he come?
As the life of my is sucked from my veins.
I can feel it ebb from my body,
as the lights in my eyes dim,
and his fumes emerge from my mouth.
The heat of his fire surrounds me,
all consuming,
never letting me rest.
As i am alone,
here,
in that putrid cave.
