Can you wash the pain away
rid me of all the past tears
and horrid memories
the times where i couldn't
stand looking upon my own
tear soaked face
and dreamed of happier days
Can you try to erase those days
of heart ache and pain
when i truly lost sight of who i was
and was reborn into a fearful child
Can you stop all those evil eyes
from judging my soul
simply on the walls i have put up
in protection of my heart
in case another knocks harshly at my door
masked with fake smiles
and corny lines and compliments
in search of yet the same thing
in search to see me cry
and wanting so dearly to see me bleed
and cry
for they all know they would not be the first
Can you stop the evil eyes
from looking me once over
thinking they know me
thinking they will win
and see me bleed and cry
