Life of a Rock Star

by supaflyhonkyguy   Mar 5, 2007

I see a man
A lonely man
A heart broken man
who no one understands
I see his eyes,
tearless with pride
Yet inside he wants to cry
from all the trouble that he’s seen
Where are they now?
Where are those people
who promised him his dreams?
Where are those people
who loved him and vowed to never leave
Broken, tattered by this cold reality
Life is so dark, his pain will never cease
He turns and leans his shoulder to the wind
Withdraws from a world forsaken him
All alone, abandoned and lost
Somehow somewhere, something is wrong
Because through it all
he knew his only friend was himself
