Worries of a Lost Girl

by Flying Phoenix   Mar 6, 2007

Weaving this thread from a train of thought
Anguished emotions twist and writhe
Ensnared in a strand of precious time
Mind lost to the world surround in fear
Coveted by strangers alone again
Walking along a precarious line
Attempting to speak yet that is the crime
Alone with anxiety, apprehension and doubt
Worried times these thoughts process out
Overcome by the lies the future told
Lost to the traveller, weary and old
Like a tourist in her own private home
She wanders across her halls
The walkways, through doors
Imagination left; mindless she seeks
Crying alone to love; she weeps
Kiss her tired furrowed brow
This pathetic shadow of a girl alone
Abandoned to her troubles and worries
As they slowly take control
Overpowering her
Crumbling her soul
