A Destructive World

by Bradley Peter   Mar 7, 2007

Anger, rage, violence and so on
One minute you're here, next minute you're gone

The human body, its a dangerous thing
We know all too well the destruction they bring

But they can bring magic too, but we rarely see
Like the strength of one that makes others free

But the world would rather, show its darker side
As if the good within, is something we should hide

One bad in the world, makes the headlines fast
But a mountain of good, surely isn't to last

Like a killer around, stays in the news for weeks
But a child's life being saved, only barely peaks

Yes, the world is destructive, its destroying itself
If its not for its own, then its probably for wealth

I don't know what I could say, to change your mind
Other than if we don't stop soon, we risk mankind

    :D
A very down right to the point poem.
I like it. sorry I love it! It's all so true and every line means something else.

I hope something happens to stop this madness soon.
Keep writing and maybe it might!

An amazing poem. These pieces you do just stun me. You are so blunt and poetic all at the same time. Beautiful. These were my fav lines.

One suggestion would be in line 12 substitue only for just to make it flow better.
