Summer's Scent

by Flying Phoenix   Mar 7, 2007

Breathing in I taste summer's scent
I see the swarming colours of spring
Highlighted in the evenings golden glow
Coldness banished
As the warmth teases my senses
Bringing dark trees into leaf
Petals of blossom float at my feet
Barefoot I laugh in the sight of spring
Memories of summer come back again
Running, grass waist height
Sunlight on the buttercups
Golden light heavenly
Hiding the secrets
Disguising lost pain
Forgotten in the warmth
In the spring's rain
