Trying, But I'm Still Dying

I'm gonna try to stop hating life
And make the best of it as I can.
I really hope I can do this,
I hope I can make it through.

I'm trying to forget the past,
Trying to let go of everything,
But it's hard to get rid of the pain,
When it's all I've ever felt.

But I'm not gonna give up,
I'm gonna keep on trying.
I know I can make it through,
I just gotta be strong.

    Second stanza is greatest. I like the topic and the way you expressed emotions is good. Excellent wording makes this poem even better.
