I Never Thought...

I never thought you'd hurt me
Like the way you did.
I never thought you'd be too busy
To even talk to me at all.
I never thought you'd leave me alone
With no one to turn to.
I never thought you'd be the one
Who would make me cry.
I never thought I had to wonder
If what you said was the truth or a lie.
I never thought you'd be gone
And not even care about me.
I never thought I would live my life
Without you, but I was so very wrong.
I never thought I'd be sitting here crying,
But I am, cause you're gone.
