Memory Settle

by James Nappo   Mar 9, 2007

Do you remember
when you said we'd stop?
Well it just got worst
and now it's us vs. the clock.
You're in your bedroom
crying on the phone.
I'm telling you we'll be okay,
and that I don't want to go off on my own.
Only for a little while
did the conversation last.
You hung up the phone
sitting by yourself
wondering just how long this will last.
It's been six months,
we came so far,
I even wished for you upon a star...
Well someone must really like me,
because I'm blessed with you.
I've taken for granted,
but now I understand.
Things will be okay,
just take my hand.
