Rose

by Disturbed and Under Age   Mar 9, 2007

Enchantment upon sight
dark as empty night
starlight dew, a silver glow
upon the blackest rose

Knives along a stem of greed
born of evil garden seed
twisted urges no one knows
inside the storm of blackest rose

Secrets left unsaid
petals dripping red
hearts in battle throws
in fields of blackest rose

Sorrow streams from brimming eyes
as anguish cuts through heartfelt ties
piercing arrows fly from bows
bid by Maiden's blackest rose

A curse between us, 'tis our love
shattered hearts shot from high above
with bones picked clean by ravenous crows
turned from white to blackest rose
