Heart and soul

You told me you don't love me
and that you never did
i grabbed a nice sharp silver blade
and went to my room and hid

the blade goes towards my wrist
it cuts right through the skin
it goes straight to my heart
and to my soul within

your love is like that blade
it cuts down deep inside
it brings out all the emotions
that i was trying to hide.

    Love really is the greatest thing in life, but when it goes bad there's no greater heartache. This poem was rather short but I thought it was written very well and it keeps the reader interested the whole time. Excellent work 5/5 GG23
