Behind the smile

by Emily   Mar 11, 2007

You see her walking the halls each day
So put together and strong looking
You’d never know she cried herself to sleep last night
From all the teasing
The continuous fake pleasing
They make fun of her each day
In every hurtful way
She tells no one about her pain
Her life is full of cloudy, rainy days
One day you will find her
She will be pale and breathless
From all this torturous mess
But do not blame her
You were the ones who made fun of her
Pushed her around
To the cold stoned ground
Maybe her disappearance to the world
Will teach you a lesson
The ones who never cry, eventually cry
The ones who never get angry, fume out in rage
And the ones you least expect to fail
They fall and fall, until there’s nothing left for them
At all.
