High School

by Christina Gomes   Mar 12, 2007

As we grow up
We learn things in life
"Happiness is a journey"
Don't dwell on the strife

There's a lot more to it
Than what high school lets on
The nerds and the jocks
Will all soon be gone

The tears of unhappiness
The rumors and fights
Soon they won't matter
Time will prove that I'm right

Girls who are self centered
And guys who are pricks
One day we won't care
And that day might come quick

What's new and what's in
Who's cool and who's not
Soon we'll have no concern
On if that boy thinks we're hot

So why waste our time
On unneeded drama
Stop sulking in the past
And causing all this trauma

Hold on to your friends
And let them know you care
Don't forget who's important
Make sure they're not unaware

As we grow up
We learn things in life
"Happiness is a journey"
Don't dwell on the strife
