Glass World

by TheWorldFellNUWerentThere   Mar 13, 2007

Broken in a million little pieces,
So many rough edges I get so lost trying to find,
Every piece of my little glass world,
To put it all together again.

The places I've been,
The things I've done,
Just pushed my little world a little further to the edge,
And you just pushed me off.

The things I've been happy about,
Are the ones that got me here,
The things I've been sad about,
Are the ones that let me learn from my mistakes.

The life I'm living now,
And the dreams of my new life,
Are nothing but reality and fantasy,
That is nothing but an accident waiting to happen.

Just stuck in my little glass world,
Letting it crack one piece at a time,
Knowing that every time I try to get to someone there's the glass wall,
When I finally get to break it they just leave me laying.

They just see a perfect little girl staring at them,
Through the glass wall,
They see such a beautifully painted picture,
With things so well put together.

But only if they could see through the eyes and the smile,
And see everything is just a lie,
Only if they could see the uneven lines of jaded stitches,
And the scars of gashes placed deep in my skin.

I'm just living in my own glass world,
Living in fantasies and a dark past,
Wishing everything would just be back to normal,
And not letting me be the one picking up the pieces again.

This is how I feel most of the time. You have a better way of expressing than I do,
    honestly. 5/5
