That smile

That smile brings back so much
how can one smile say so much
without actually making a sound
not a word
but yet still packed with meaning

is she back this time for good
or just a glancing visit
like so many other times and places

the smiles says maybe
but the hug says she'll stay
it says she don't wanna leave this time
preventing the hurt she feels whens shes walked away before

exchanging new numbers part of new lives
your now back reminiscing of old love
now being re kindled from a distant fond memory

as you both return phones
you both raise glances getting a last look
one last look of the person they once cared for
so very much

and its their the spark, the warmth
everything that was before
is again almost more powerful then ever

you could have stayed there with her
forever
not ever saying a word
not needing too

as you part a feeling of pain creeps over
worry again this is another glancing visit
you take a look back
so does she
holding the exact fear in her eyes
and its at that moment
a smile takes over your face and you realize
that old love you thought was lost
is about to become part of your new life
