Ruin

by resisting reason   Mar 19, 2007

We were to far away to understand
to far from the truth
to close to the lies
to close to the flame
we burnt out our eyes
now we're blind to the world
to the good and to the bad
now we're dead to the world
we're neither happy, nor sad
we live our lives in a dead, empty shell
we go through life in a cold emotionless hell
without warmth and love, we seem dead and frigid
without warmth and love, our souls are rough and rigid
our bodies are cracked, brittle and weak
from years of tears and no sleep
our minds are torn, ripped to pieces
sick and feeble
full of diseases
when we die, there will be no heaven for us
no hell either
only dust
