Rain

by Francine   Mar 19, 2007

(another old one, I don't know the date but early 90s I think)

She gazes out a window
Watching the falling rain
Wondering why her life
Is filled with so much pain.
Wondering why every time
The sun begins to shine,
The dark clouds soon appear
Every single time.
And like a massive shadow,
Darkness hides the sun,
Suffocating her happiness
As quickly as it comes.
Taking her last breath
Only for it's own
As her life falls away,
The only life she's ever known.

Again....great flow.. and this time you have very good word choice ...like the lines
    "And like a massive shadow,
    Darkness hides the sun,
    Suffocating her happiness"

    great metaphorical manipulation of words
