Sacrifices of Freedom

by memyselfandI   Mar 21, 2007

Sand, clings to me, as we march on,
Sweat, coats me, as we cross the war zone,
Sadness, fills me, many friends gone,
Smoke, surrounds me, feeling so alone.

Regret, shames me, I would never leave,
Pride, reminds me, why I fight,
Exhaust, closes on me, I just want to breathe,
Reason, pushes me, Id die for whats right.

Adrenaline, fills me, the battle has begun,
Shock, stills me, my brother is dying,
Death, grips me, I know that its done,
Loss, news will come, a mother will be crying.

....Diplomacy is dying
