Lost you.

The day I lost you babe, oh it hurts just to recall
you swept away into his arms, you let me slip and fall
you told me we were soul mates, i believed every word you said
and now you've gone and left me, i've never felt so dead

we were going to go on road trips, see the world together
we were going to travel from place to place, in whatever abnormal weather
your an angel in disguise, don't let this be a surprise
its been so long, since you've been gone
but tears still drip from my weepy eyes

I cant believe I let you go, you mean the world and more
Don't understand why he's so special, why you showed me the door
In 30 years, and 40 more, even when we're old and raw
I'll still be there, still be your guide, cause thats what friends are for.

    This is a really well written poem. At the beginning of reading it I was a little Iffy on what I was reading but then as I got into the middle I was brought into the poem. You did a really nice job. Keep up the good work.
