The prayer of a self harmer

by sweetiepie18   Mar 22, 2007

As I lie awake feigning sleep,
I pray The Lord my soul to keep,
wrapped up tight and far from harm,
pulled close to him, by his loving arm.

forgive me my sins and tell me no lies,
i pray that he won't see the pain in my eyes,
and as I lay my head to sleep I pray the Lord my secrets to keep,
wrapped up safe and far from harm,
that no one will know of the scars on my arm.

as I get on my knees in silent prayer,
I ask that he will always be there,
No more pain and close to sleep,
I pray the Lord my secrets to keep,
I pray on this night no one will hear,
as i cradle my head and shed a tear,

forgive me my sins and tell me no lies,
I pray He will hide the pain inside.
