Your Shirt

by Lyndsay Kalyta   Mar 26, 2007

I can't believe how the feel
Of one shirt tonight
Can bring back feelings
That used to feel so right

Every memory we had
Is on me now
But I have to forget them
Some way, somehow

The smell of you
Is choking me
It's all over your shirt
That is all over me

I remember the first time
You kissed my lips
You were wearing this shirt
As you pressed up to my hips

I'm thinking we'd be together
If I would have taken off
This shirt from your back
Instead of telling you to stop

Right now it seems that
All I can feel is hurt
But I feel there's hope
As long as I'm wearing your shirt

Oh my dear, I hope this is not true. If that boy really loved you, he would have respected you for saying no.

I like your description from smell to memory. Nice touch.
