Painful Soul

Black liner smeared across my face
silent echoes coming from one place
my mind is spinning out of control
my pain has left a burden of my soul

The tears that streamed down like rain
would never wash away this amount of pain
my eyes are blurry from being blind for too long
and my body is weak and cannot carry on

The emptiness I feel inside my chest
left behind memories to manifest
black circle under my eyes showing loss of sleep
broken everything as I weep

No clear emotion has completely set in
sadness and anger builds up within
I took you in my wings and carried you home
in return I was left alone
