Depression

by The Lonely Rose   Mar 27, 2007

Depression,
What people hide.
They hide the pain that they have held inside.
People can hold something for so long.
It can get to far.

A girl,
So happy,
So bright,
Inside nothing but pitch black.
No one can tell her fake smiles.
Her fake laughs,
The way she acts is nothing of how she acts of in the inside.

Now lets go back in the inside.
Pitch black.
Just either her alone.
Or falling.
If she falls.
Won't she die before she hits the bottom?
For where you fall,
You go down,
Once you go down.
You just get worse.
Once you get worse and worse.
The acts fade.
The smiles turn upside down.
Self Harm can occur.
Then if someone finds out.
The person feels like the whole world has ended.

If people don't then won't she fall inside just more?
Then she will hit the bottom.
Of her own blood.
Of Suicide.

Be a friend to where you think someone has it...
Be a friend where no one has to that person.
Depression,
The deathly disease as it is called of doctors called it...
But who cares bout doctors?
You be your own doctor and talk to someone about it

Ah. I see that this is your normal method of writing. I like it, although I'm not positive why.

Anyways. I found it highly ironic and meaningful that this poem isn't in the sad poems-depression because of the title. I'm hoping this means that you understand that depression is merely a part of life. Either way, I enjoyed this poem. Creative, unique point of view. Nice job!
