Flower Within

by OHgreenman   Mar 27, 2007

Flower of the baron desert
Refuses to be weathered and worn.
Strong roots buried in the sand
Dormant, waiting to be reborn.

Storing Earths muddy tears
From spring stormy skies.
Pushes through harden soil
Her beauty no longer hides.

Hugging with outstretched limbs
Warmth of the desert sun.
Inner perfection upon petals
Re-blooming has begun.

Safe and secure planted
In the desert sand.
Free to show her soul
Strong to make a stand.
