Trust No One But Yourself

I'm so sick of trying
to act like everything is perfect.
Of acting like nothing is wrong
and the world will be good again.

I'm so sick of pretending
that tomorrow will be better
then is was before.

It's hard to do,
Pretend.
People do it everyday.
Some are very good at it
some aren't which makes you
not trust them.

I am so very tired
of putting on a fake smile.
It's beginning to look thin
and weary.

I know I have made some mistakes
some I can't replace.
But if I had to do one thing over again
it was to make myself never trust you.

One thing in life I have learned is
the people you love will hurt you.
No matter how much they say they won't
they'll end up doing it anyway.
And what is even worse
is that you'll believe their lies
You'll trust them with your secrets
you'll love them like you haven't loved anyone else.
But they'll hurt you.
They always will.

The only person you can trust is yourself.
Because your friends will bail on you
when its only convient for them
