The Long Road

by Josh Beal   Mar 28, 2007

Through every day there is a trial in life
Some bigger than others
But I know through every one of those trials there is a reward at the end of the long road of life
This road will go through many turns, valleys, and peaks
For if you take the wrong turn you could destroy your life
Although you can't go back you can correct the wrong you've done
I know that we can't dwell on that
For when we reach those valleys they last for an eternity
The peaks are great
You can see everything
When those peaks come, they last only an instant
The feeling of being on top of the world, yes will only last so long
Once you actually are there not just living good for the time being
Finding the lord is what I am talking about
He will help you stay there as long as you stay close to him
And the valleys are dark
Most can't see the light that they have to go towards
Yet even if the valley puts us near death we still have the drive with in to push forward and live out your life
You are here for a reason not to destroy your life
With the distractions in the woods off the side of our long road of life
Too many will get stuck in that valley and never come out
Climbing those hills to get to the peeks may seem tough but it's worth having a life worth living for in the end
For take a wrong turn in the long road of life
You can end the short time that we are here
Even if our lives a really only a blink in time
It seemed great for most
