Lady of Sorrows

by Cooper   Apr 1, 2007

Lady, you're killing me,
while my eyes bathe in dream,
You, like Terpsichore,
gypsy of storms,
dance in the drizzling sky stream.
Though your essence,
disguised by the dark Love theme,
Is lost in rain and pain,
the cemetery clouds black and dense,
you killed this self esteem.

For you, these hands wrote on Egyptian scroll,
my pen,
the blood of my heart and soul.
Poetic words plated in truth,
enchanted by solemn amen,
Alas, dead in youth,
diamonds shattered by you and me,
My ghostly grave our once golden glen,
that love was nothing but one empty killing spree.

We danced in shattered moons,
singing together; ripped heart tunes.
As I listened to your heart howl to mine;
and mine to yours; behind dreamless doors,
both yearning for a love divine!
Yet...
Cold was my soul, untold was the pain,
I faced when you left me, a rose in the rain.

***Not about the lady you'd find mentioned in my profile. This is another, from quite some time ago, where my heart was left in pain. But wounds can heal; So don't spend your time mourning over what you've lost, instead, spend it in happiness on what you've gained. I just thought this would be a good poem***
