How We Want What We Cant Have

by LithiumSacrifice   Apr 4, 2007

How We Want What We Cant Have

The leaves upon such rotten ground
Our feet that tread lightly above
Listening to the ever so soft, gentle sound
Under a dark blanket, embrace in love

Waters we hear so close, so near
The stars of romance hide behind gray clouds
Lips that are ever so soft, too gentle to fear
A forbidden touch, we yearn to touch, we cannot allow

Such a taste should be too sweet to feel
Such a moment of purity should be last
A taste that is soft, ever gentle and real
Time stops for this moment that already past

    Amazing.
The flow was flawless, the imagery was vivid - I could see everything in my mind, & as Tina said you mastered a difficult rhyme scheme.
Fantastic job! 5/5 Keep writing. =]

I'm impressed by the rhyme scheme you chose. It's usually difficult to have an ABAB poem make sense because... but regardless, you have prevailed!!! Great job. 5/5 And thank you for reading my poem.
