Happy Birthday To Me

A day away from my birthday, and I'm still not enthusiastic.

But why get excited over an outfit and a piece of plastic?

If there's no one to share my "joy" with me at all;

It's a shame that my only company is my wall.

So, why bother even getting up tomorrow when the day will be the same?

I think I'll just celebrate my new year in shame

By staying in bed embracing my new age of adolescence.

I'm not even gonna take my anti-depressants.

Self pity won't get me out of this day.

So, why am I celebrating it anyway?

I'll just as depressed as I did the day before.

...And I don't wanna feel like this anymore.
