Reaching Perfection (bulimia)

by No1ButMe   Apr 5, 2007

An attraction

Only to appearance

The life you wanted to live

Is now in disappearance

Becoming your religion

Meaning everything to you

Voices screaming

Left not knowing what to do

Satisfaction

Only on the surface

Crying in front of the mirror

Did you really want this?

Your eyes are always focused

Go on and let it show

So many things going on inside your head

If only others could know

Tired of the emptiness

So fill the empty space

With what you believe

Is to be a pretty face

It's only skin deep

You're never going to reach perfection

Judging all your fat

As you stare at your reflection

No one will ever be perfect

Not in your eyes

Aren't you tired

Of all the late night cries

First impressions

Are over in an instant

Is this really the life

That for you was meant

You make your decision

Before you speak a word

All the voices speaking

Nothing you say can be heard

You end your search

Your solution already found

For you don't want this fat

To be around

Every conquest

Filled with disappointment

Living your secret life behind the bathroom door

Is this how you want your life spent

Lacking any substance

Now the lines a blur

Leaning over the toilet

Your never going to learn

You'll never reach perfection

Not in your eyes

So as you continue to go to your white porcelain sanctuary

You'll always continue to cry…
