I'm Sorry Mom

I'm sorry mom
I know you must be ashamed of me

If only I listened mom
Then I wouldn't be in this tragedy

I'm sorry mom
I really, really tried

And now I feel terrible mom
That I told such a lie

I'm sorry mom
I really tried not to

But my friends persisted mom
They said I had to

I'm sorry mom
That I got myself in trouble

If only I obeyed you mom
And retreated on the double

I'm sorry mom
I know I shouldn't have drank

But I was forced to mom
Forced to fill my tank

I'm sorry mom
But after, I felt terrified

So I tried to do the right thing mom
To get home as fast as I could try

I'm sorry mom
It probably wasn't the best thing to do

But I didn't know what to do mom
So I jumped in the car and flew

I'm sorry mom
But now before me I see a bright light

I'm really scared mom
I don't want this to be my last night

I'm sorry mom
And now I don't know what to do

I hear a doctor standing over me say,
"We don't know if we can revive you"

I'm sorry mom
But wait I see another car across the street

And now I hear the doctors say,
"She can't make it, heaven she'll soon meet"

I'm sorry mom
And now I swear I don't know what to do

But wait, the other woman across the street
Mom is that you?

    I found this to be incredibly sad, and yet so beautifully written at the same time.

    The emotion and depth you portrayed in this was overwhelming, without being overbearing, it really tugs on the reader's heartstrings.

    The only thing I didn't like about this was that you rhymed ''to'' with ''to.''

    But apart from that, I thought this was beautifully written, filled with such melancholy and still such a beautiful piece of writing.

    Awww good job!!! this one is really sad and flowed pretty good. some points had bumps but it was great! also, some of they rhyming seem forced like you couldn't think of anyother word. but overall it was really good!!!! keep up the good work! :o)
