Society's Pressure

by Fighter (Ariane L.)   Apr 6, 2007

Leaning against the cold metallic door,
She collapses to the floor.
Her hands hide what she refuses to show.
Her lips finally let it all escape.

The pressure chokes her, gasping for air.
Barely able to restrain her emotions,
Her sobs echo in the silent bathroom.
Finally.

Wrapped in society's added pressure,
She struggles to keep her head held high.
Once her sorrows have seeked their release,
She sighs and puts her face back on.
Smiling. Ready to face the world once more.
