A Collapsing Fall

by 19Rusty   Apr 10, 2007

(Yes some parts do not make sense. But for a class I am taking we had to take three words and combine them into the poem)

She sat inside the grotto, a pool of shimmering light,
that jumped out of the water and swirled around the
glowing spirit of Marylin Monroe,
but the walls showed no light only holding in a
reflection of warm orange of a pumpkin in the shallow
water that was her tears, the opening of the grotto
seemed so far away, a heaven like aura creped in
showing little hope of her faith.

The blue ice that escaped from her blood shot and tear
filled eyes, fell in front of a single memory of decoration,
an even so small but left the devastation of it all, to
break her spirit of a fallen love on a simple holiday, a
simple plot of ground her last stability, holding her world,
even as it has started to grow small, never standing,
the closeness of the grotto's walls her only protection,
keeping her mind broken by the past, held together by
thoughts that will never pass.
