If you give you shall recieve

by tyanna   Apr 12, 2007

They say you have to give,
and then you shall receive.
I have given all I have,
for my blood is all that's left.

And so my blood is shed,
I give them all that they can drink.
"You greedy sons of b****es",
is what I tend to think.

I've given and given,
but what did I receive?
Eternal life in Heaven!
For the Lord was very pleased!

****I know it sounds like I don't like to do things for others but that's not the case..lol..This poem is directed more at my family..They treat me like crap and don't want anything to do with me unless they need something.. They expect me to be there when they need but won't even listen when I need someone to talk to.***

  • I can relate to most all if not all of your poems.. Once again, this poem is another work of art. You show passion through your words. Very powerful. The flow was dead on. And it really speaks to your readers, it keeps them interested as well. (WHen I say them, I mean me too) lol..anyhow, really though, I enjoy all of your poetry, so keep it up. Thanks for all the comments on mine, by the way.

I like this one. The second stanza was rather ironic. It seems, as I noted, like you aren't happy in giving blessings to others. Other than that, you have my support on this one. It strikes a chord within me about a reverent person's code of life. Like mine, in particular. Quite ironic? =]
    Well done. Thanks for sharing.

This poem really reminds me of my featured quote The Balance of The Heart, Soul & Mind" reflects the humanness of us all, and the Divine Redemption, which frees us from ourselves.
